What the Role Involves

  • Set up and operate cameras, lenses, lighting, tripods, and supporting equipment.
  • Make practical decisions about exposure, focus, composition, colour, and camera movement.
  • Support single-camera and multi-camera YouTube and short-form productions.
  • Collaborate with directors, creators, producers, audio teams, and editors.
  • Maintain visual consistency across a shoot and adapt framing for different formats.
  • Manage camera media safely and help maintain production equipment.
  • Review finished edits to improve future camera and lighting decisions.

Who Usually Fits This Role

  • Candidates with a cinematography, videography, or camera-operation portfolio or showreel.
  • People who understand exposure, frame rates, white balance, lenses, and basic lighting.
  • Camera operators who can work quickly without compromising footage quality.
  • Candidates comfortable receiving direction, solving practical problems, and improving through repeated production.
  • Applicants with digital-first production experience, projects, education, internships, or serious hobby work.

Typical Work Pattern

This is normally a full-time, office-based Mumbai role. Production schedules can occasionally include weekends, early starts, late finishes, or changes at short notice. Candidates should be comfortable with reasonable flexibility around scheduled shoots.
